Rubber Roof Material
Hi,

From my experience, I found rubber roofing is better than metal roofing.

What you think?

Re: Rubber Roof Material
Metal roofing is a great roofing material. A metal roof can last for 100-years. There are many types of sheet metal roofing including standing seam metal roof and corrugated metal roofing. The metal roof cost is higher then a shingle type roof, but will outlast a shingle roof several times over.

Were comparing Metal to Rubber, NOT shingle...

Rubber roofing is generaly a lot better for insulation and is quieter during rain, but naturally it weights more than sheet metal (currogated stuff) and takes longer to apply, and is also subject to the same effects of rubber bands left out in the elements where it can crack under long exposures to the sun if not protected and any cracks that can absorb water can then freeze and swell in the winter making cracks bigger and leading to a leaky roof, but a lot depends on how its applied and how its protected.

Sheet metal can be really loud under rainfall, hard to insulate, damage easy should anything land on it and would need to be applied to a strong roof, otherwise you wouldnt be able to walk on it like a flat roof.
